The newbie company in the Smartphone segment ‘Xiaomi’ has decided to give direct competition to tech giant Apple. There were reports that Xiaomi is planning a Smart watch to rival Apple watch has now launched Mi Note special edition dubbed as Bamboo edition for $370. This special edition will carry the same specifications of standard Mi Note that was announced in January 2015.
On the design front it is bit different from Mi Note that features 2D curved glass, bamboo back cover and sides are surrounded by metal frame. According to a report Mi Note will to feature with two sided curved glass and will be thinner and lighter than iPhone 6 plus.
Mi Note was launched in January in China was priced at CNY 2299 approx (Rs. 23,000) for 16GB variant and CNY 2799 approx (Rs. 27,900) for the 64GB model. When Mi Note’s sale went up for the first time in China the handset went out of stock within three minutes of the sale.
For specifications Mi Note features a 5.7 inch HD screen with 386ppi pixel density protected with Corning glass 3 while I-phone 6 plus has a 5.5 inch screen.
Mi Note runs on 2.5 GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor paired with 3GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. It is available in 16GB and 64GB variants and there’s no memory card slot for increasing the storage capacity.
It sports a 13 megapixel rear camera with Sony CMOS sensor, six element lens, OIS and two tone flash while it has a 4 megapixel front camera with large 2-micron pixels. Mi Note takes the juice from a 3000mah battery with quick charge 2.0 technology.
Xiaomi had introduced the Mi Note PRO with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage powered by an Octa Core Snapdragon 810 chipset.
The Mi Note limited edition is available for pre-order now in China and will go on sale from 24 March 2015.
