Xiaomi has launched a new variant of Redmi 3S christened as 3S+, the first model to be exclusively available offline. This new variant has been priced at Rs. 9499 which is costlier than standard variants and it has 2GB RAM as compared to 3GB on 3S Prime. Besides, rest of the specifications is similar and Smartphone is already available for buy in Dark grey, silver and gold colors.
AS for the specs, Redmi 3S Plus has metallic uni-body design and comes with a 5 inch HD IPS display. Under the lid is QUALCOMM Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4 GHz matched with 2GB of RAM. It boasts 32GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 128GB using a Micro SD card.
On the optics front, it is equipped with a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording capability. For Selfies, it has a 5MP front facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and HD video recording.
The hybrid dual SIM device runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 with MIUI 8 out of the box. In terms of connectivity, it comes with 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Fm radio, 3.5 mm audio jack. The device has a fingerprint sensor located at rear panel below the primary camera unit. A massive 4100mah battery completes the package. It seems Xiaomi has understood that in India majority of the people aren’t able to access their Smartphones as they are majorly available online so going offline is probably the best strategy to target them.
