Xiaomi’s newest Smartphone which is reportedly slated to launch on 24th November 2015 in India has been teased by Xiaomi’s president Bin Lin confirming the launch of this Phablet. Bin posted a photo on Weibo which shows the rear panel of the device in golden color shade flaunting the fingerprint sensor below the camera lens. Apart from this information, no other details have been shared.
The Redmi Note 2 pro is the successor of Redmi Note in India which was launched in August 2014 and it is company’s first device to feature with fingerprint sensor technology.
Redmi Note 2 Pro will come with a same massive 5.5-inch Full HD display and powered by 2GHz Octa Core Mediatek Helio X10 processor aided by powerVR G6200 GPU and 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM.
It will be available in two variants one with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage and another with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of in-built storage. It bears a 13 MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and 5MP front facing camera. On the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop based MIUI 7 out of the box.
The connectivity options include Dual SIM support, 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 n with Dual Band, GPS with GLONASS. The device measure 149.98×5.96×8.75mm and weighs 166 grams. The 2GB RAM model is likely to be priced at approximately Rs 11,400 while the 3GB RAM variant would cost at approx. Rs 15,000.
