As promised Xiaomi today announced Mi Mix 2 at an event in China. The phone is different from its predecessor Mi MIX, it has an ultra narrow bezel, and it is sleeker than Mi MIX. It offers 6 GB RAM and also has a special edition with 8 GB RAM. Mi MIX 2 is available in black colour with 4 sided curved and ceramic body with an aluminium frame and a 6 GB RAM with 64 GB internal storage device is priced at 3299 yuan (RS. 32,350) and 6 GB RAM with 128 GB storage is at 4699 yuan(Rs. 35,280). It has a facial recognition feature.
The device is powered by 2.45 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 mobile platform with Adreno 540 GPU and has two storage variations 6 GB RAM with 64GB/ 128 GB (Special edition). The phone runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) with MIUI 9. Mi MIX 2 has a display of 5.99 inches with full HD, 18:9 display and DCI-P3 colour gamut. In the camera department the device has a 12 Megapixel rear camera with f/ 2.0 aperture, Sony IMX 386 sensor, dual tone LED flash and 4K video recording and 5 Megapixel front camera with facial recognition and video recording. The phone also has a finger print sensor.
On the connectivity front, Mi MIX 2 offers 4G LTE, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, GLONASS and USB Type-C. The phone is packed with a 3400 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging. It weighs 185g (Standard) and 187g (Special edition).
Mi MIX 2 uses Cantilever piezoelectric ceramic acoustic system rather than a normal earpiece and 50mW high power speaker which will give you a superior audio experience. The phone has a ceramic and curved body and is designed by Philippe Starck the famous designer. For now, the phone is launched in China, and it will soon arrive in India.
