Vodafone has started a partnership with Micromax with the motive of taking on Jiophone through the launch of Bharat 2 Ultra 4G Smartphone at a reasonable price of Rs. 999. The purchase of the Smartphone will start from November this year.
In this partnership, Vodafone customers will have to pay Rs 2899 to purchase the Bharat 2 Ultra and after that, they have to get a recharge of Rs.150 done for next 36 months on their Vodafone number. The recharges can be done in different amounts but in total it has to be Rs.150. At the end of 18 months the phone users will get cash back of Rs.900 in their Vodafone M-Pesa wallet and then again after 18 months they will receive cash back of Rs.1000. So through this process, they will just be paying Rs.999 for the Micromax Bharat 2 phone.
The specifications of the phone are same as Micromax Bharat which was launched earlier this year. The phone has a 4-inch WVGA display and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). The device is powered by 1.3 GHz Quad-Core spreadtrum processor and is dual SIM.
Talking about the storage the phone has a 512 MB RAM and 4 GB ROM which can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. It has a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 0.3-megapixel front camera. The connectivity options are 4G VoLTE, Wifi 803, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. Micromax Bharat 2 has a 1300mAh battery and 3.5mm audio jack and radio FM.
Bharat 2 is the sixth phone under the Bharat series of Micromax. According to the company, 2 million sales are done in Bharat series. This strategy is almost same as Karbonn and Airtel. Micromax is doing this with the aim of coming back in the top 5 Smartphone manufacturing company list.
