In 2014 when Sony sold the VAIO unit to Japanese industrial partners, VAIO gave a hint to enter into Smartphone market and after a year VAIO have revealed a Smartphone with some modest specs called the VA-10J which somehow looks alike Nexus 4 in terms of design.
VA-10J will be available in Japan from 20 March 2015 for US420$ approx (26,400 INR) for the unlocked version or without a contract. According to a Japanese site’s blog VA-10J is identical to Panasonic Eluga U2 revealed last month in Taiwan.
In terms of Specifications VAIO VA-10J features a 5-inch HD display with 720 X 1280 pixel resolution and powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon Qualcomm chipset paired to 2GB RAM. It comes with 16GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 64GB using a Micro SD card. In terms of Camera it is equipped with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front cam.
The VAIO VA-10J runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. This Smartphone comes with the dimensions of 71.3×141.5×7.95mm and weighs 130 grams.
The VAIO VA-10J is said to be a single SIM with connectivity options including 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, Micro-USB and Wi-Fi. Other features include Gyroscope, ambient light sensors, inbuilt proximity and Accelerometer. This Smartphone is backed up a 2500mah battery which can deliver 13 hours of talk time and 500 hours of stand-by time.
The Smartphone will be available in black color variant only but there is no information available regarding its global release.
