With the start of the year, there are speculations for many upcoming launches of smartphones in India. While most people speculate about the high-end ones and their features, we have a list of smartphones that are expected to launch at the beginning of 2018. These are the top smartphones that are estimated to be launching this month itself!
iVOOMi i1 and i1s
As per the reports, these smartphones are to be launched in January and are to be equipped with 5.45-inch bezel-less displays. They are also expected to have 13 MP + 2 MP rear cameras. These smartphones are suspected to run on Android 7.0 Nougat but for the storage options, not much is known. iVOOMi is expected to launch them between 6,999 to 9,999 INR making them one of the most affordable smartphones too.
Samsung Galaxy A8 and A8+
These Samsung smartphones are said to go on sale in January 2018 and have 18:5:9 Super AMOLED displays. They both have bezel-less displays where the A8 gets a 5.6-inch display and the A8+ features a 6-inch screen. They will come powered by octa-core processors and have Android 7.1.1 Nougat as their operating system. For optics, they get 16 + 8 MP front cameras and a 16 MP rear camera with video digital image stabilization. Lastly, the A8 is powered by a 3000 mAh battery while the A8+ is powered by a 3500 mAh battery.
Xiaomi Redmi 5 / Redmi 5 Plus
These handsets have been launched in China and are expected to launch in India in January. The Redmi 5 has a 5.7-inch display while the Redmi 5 Plus has a bigger 5.99-inch display. For the processor, the Redmi 5 is driven by Snapdragon 450 and the Redmi 5 Plus has Snapdragon 625 SoC. While the Redmi 5 has 2GB + 16GB and 3GB + 32GB configurations, the Redmi 5 Plus has 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB one.
Gionee S11
This Gionee smartphone comes with a 5.99-inch, 18:9 display and is driven by MediaTek Helio P23 processor. The S11 comes in two variants that are 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 64GB. It has a dual camera setup both for front and back comprising of 16MP + 5MP at the rear and 16MP + 8MP on the front. For power, the phone comes backed by a 3410mAh battery and is expected to launch at 17600 INR in India this January.
Honor View10
This Honor smartphone is already available for pre-registration on Amazon India which started from December 28th. It comes with a 5.99-inch, 18:9 display and is mated to 6GB RAM. For optics the phone has 16 MP + 20 MP rear cameras with dual tone LED flash. For selfies, it gets a 13 MP front-facing shooter. The Honor View 10 runs on Android Oreo out of the box and will come powered by 3750 mAh battery.
