After China debut earlier this year, Samsung has launched the 2016 editions of Galaxy J5 and J7 in India. Both the Smartphones come in Peal White, Radiant Gold and Midnight black colors and will be exclusively available via Flipkart starting today midnight. The J5 (2016) is priced at Rs. 13,990 while J7 (2016) is available for Rs. 15,990. Both are successors to the J5 and J7 launched in July last year.
Both flaunts almost similar design with side metal frames, comes with S-bike and ultra data saving modes.
Samsung Galaxy J5:
The Smartphone flaunts a 5.2 inch HD Super AMOLED display bearing 1280*720 pixels resolution and powered by a Quad Core 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor clocking at 1.2GHz with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 306 GPU. It is packed with 16GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 128GB using a Micro SD card.
On the photography front, it is equipped with a 13 Megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and up front is a 5MP camera with LED flash and 120 degree wide angle lens. Running on Android Marshmallow, J5 (2016) offers connectivity options such as 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n with Wi-Fi direct, NFC, GPS, GPS, GLONASS and USB 2.0. The Smartphone weighs 159 grams and measures 145.8 x 72.3 x 8.1 mm. A 3100mah battery keeps the things running which can deliver up to 21 hours of talktime and 71 hours of audio playback time. At this price, it takes on Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 1s and Lenovo K5 note.
Samsung Galaxy J7:
Galaxy J7 (2016), the elder sibling of J5 packs in a bigger display of 5.5 inch HD super AMOLED display with 720×1080 pixels resolution. Backing it is an Octa core Exynos 7870 processor clocking at 1.6GHz linked by 2GB RAM while China Spec version has 3GB. It has 16GB of internal memory and supports expandable storage up to 128GB using a Micro SD card.
On the imaging front, it sports the same 13MP and 5MP camera units similar to J5 (2016). The Dual Sim device offers 4G LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, GPS, bluetooth 4.1, GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM radio. The J7 (2016) takes its juices from a 3300mah battery and runs Android Marshmallow out of the box. The handset will take on Micromax Canvas 6 and OnePlus X.
