Samsung has launched the company’s latest mid range tablet in India that is Galaxy Tab A 8.0(2017). The new tablet has the Samsung’s signature home button and menu buttons below the display. The tab A comes with a price tag of Rs. 17,990 and can be purchased from Samsung India online shop and retail stores across the country. The book cover of the tablet is available separately for Rs. 2499. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A gives you Black and Gold colors options. The company is also offering screen replacement for the tablet within 1 year of purchase only if you get it before November 9. It also offers extra 180 GB 4G data for 1 year for the Jio users.
The specifications of the Tab A has a 8-inch (1280×800) WXGA TFT display and runs on 1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 processor with having Adreno 308 GPU. The tablet backs 2 GB RAM with 16 GB internal memory that can be further expanded up to 256 GB with micro SD card.
For optics the Tab A provides an 8MP autofocus primary camera with LED flash, and f/1.9 aperture. For the front camera it has a 5MP front-facing shooter. Talking of the tablet’s operating system it runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat). The tablet accepts single Nano-SIM.
Coming to the connectivity options of the Samsung’s tablet it has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS + GLONASS / Beidou. The tab carries a 5000mAh battery which promises to give up to 14 hours of video viewing. Lastly, the dimension of the tablet measures 212.1 x 124.1 x 8.9mm and its weight is 364grams.
