Samsung has silently rolled out a new budget Smartphone in the country dubbed as Galaxy J1 Ace, priced at Rs. 6400 INR. According to Mumbai based retailer, J1 Ace is available for sale via offline retail stores across the country though Samsung is yet to make official announcement regarding its launch.
The device is said to be the successor of Galaxy J1 which comes with very mediocre specs for such a price. The dual SIM phone runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat and has a 4.3 inch of Super AMOLED display that is unusual for a budget device.
Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace employs a 1.3 GHz dual core processor and aided by just 512MB of RAM which spoils the fun. It comes with just 4GB of internal memory which is further expandable up to 32GB via Micro SD card.
The device features a 5MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and 2MP front snapper for Selfies. For connectivity, a user gets 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. J1 Ace weigh 128 grams and measures 130.1 x 67.6 x 9.5 mm. An 1800mah battery with Ultra power saving mode keeps the device running.
The Samsung J1 Ace is available in white and black variants and competition comes from Motorola Moto E, Redmi 2 and Sony Xperia E4. If Samsung want to crack the affordable Smartphone segment up to then they need to bring some decent specs equipped phones as the competition around is really tuff.
