OnePlus has finally launched the champagne edition of OnePlus X in India which is available to buy from today onwards. The limited edition is priced at Rs. 16999 which is same as Onyx version and users can buy it using the same invites of Onyx variant. The limited edition is available in a new gold and white color shade made with glass and interested users can purchase it via Amazon India.
Prior to this variant, OnePlus launched the Ceramic variant which was available for Rs. 22,999 in a limited 10,000 units which is now out of stock. Besides new color shade, all the specifications are similar to Onyx variant which include a 5 inch full HD active matrix AMOLED display with pixel density of 441 ppi, 2.5D curved glass at the back and a layer of Corning Gorilla glass 3 for protection.
Under the hood is a Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3GHz aided by Adreno 330 GPU and massive 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. For storage, it comes with 16GB internal storage and for first time ever OnePlus is giving a Micro SD card slot to further expand the memory up to 128GB. It runs on Oxygen OS based Android Lollipop 5.1 with a few customization options.
The OnePlus X Onyx/Champagne variant has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, PDAF; f/2.2 aperture takes decent quality pictures in daylight but lacks same in low light conditions. The front camera on OnePlus X is an 8MP which takes great quality Selfies with good amount of detailing and sharpness.
For connectivity, it gets hybrid Dual SIM slots, 4G LTE support, GLONASS, bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3.5mm audio jack, Micro USB and GPS. The device is fuelled by 2525mah non removable battery which can easily last for an entire day with normal usage. Overall, it’s a decent device with some Pros and Cons.
