Lenovo owned Motorola has introduced its new range of Smartphones Moto Z and Moto Z play in India with support for Moto Mods. The Z play has been priced at Rs, 24,999 while Moto Z sets you back at Rs. 39,999 and both the Smartphones will be exclusive to Amazon India and Flipkart from 11:59 PM on October 17, 2016. The premium Smartphone segment isn’t Motorola’s Forte as they are known for making mid range affordable handsets.
Both devices run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box and equipped with fingerprint sensor integrated on the home button. Both are dual Sim devices and gets water Nano repellent coating. Here is you need to know about the new Z series Smartphones:-
Motorola Moto Z
The Motorola Moto Z is flagship device which is available for Rs. 39999 and comes in White with Fine Gold trim and Black with Silver colors. The slimmest Smartphone in the world with 5.15mm thickness feature a 5.5 inch Quad HD display with screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and pixel density of 535ppi.
It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz and accompanied by 4GB of RAM and Adreno 530 GPU. It has 64GB of internal storage and can further hold a SD card up to 2TB. It packs with a 13 Megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED flash, OIS, laser autofocus, f/1.8 aperture and 1.12um pixel.
For Selfies, it gets a 5MP front snapper with wide angle lens and f/2.2 aperture. For connectivity, there is 4G LTE, NFC, dual band Wi-Fi, USB Type-C port, bluetooth 4.1, GPS, GLONASS etc. It is fuelled by a 2600mah battery claim to deliver up to 30 hours of back up on mixed usage and it also supports fast charging which can deliver up to 8 hours of back up with just 15 minutes of charging.
Motorola Moto Z Play
Moto Z play is an affordable version of flagship Moto Z and flaunts a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED display wearing corning gorilla glass on top and pixel density of 403 ppi. The performance is taken care by a 2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor clubbed with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 506 GPU. It comes in White with Fine Gold and black with Silver trim.
The phone comes with 32GB of internal storage and supports expandable storage up to 200GB (2TB) using a Micro SD card slot. On the Software front, it runs on Marshmallow 6.0.1 out of the box. The Smartphone measures 156.4×76.4×6.99mm and weighs at 165 grams, it also feature three microphones and front ported loudspeaker.
In the camera segment, it includes a 16 Megapixel rear snapper bearing laser auto focus, OIS, phase detection auto focus (PDAF), zero shutter lag, dual LED flash and zero shutter lag. Up front is a 5MP front-facing shooter with an LED flash and a wide-angle lens. Connectivity options are similar to Moto Z while it is fuelled by a beefy 3500mah battery which delivers 9 hours of usage in just 15 minutes of charging thanks to the Turbo power fast charging support.
