LYF has just announced the launch of new entrant in the wind range of Smartphones called as Wind 5. Priced at just Rs. 6599, the device will be across India via leading offline and online channels in white and black colors. The USP of the Smartphone is its support to 4G LTE bands FDD LTE Band 3 and LTE band 40 along with VoLTE.
As for the specs, it sports a 5 inch HD IPS display with resolution of 1280*720 pixels and pixel density of 294ppi. The device is powered by a 1 GHz quad core Mediatek MTK 6735P processor coupled with MaliT720 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The Smartphone has 8GB of internal storage and supports expandable storage up to 32GB using a Micro SD card.
The Wind 5 packs an 8 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5 MP front facing camera for Selfies. The primary rear camera supports features like face detection, smile shot, auto scene detection, gesture capture and video snapshot. It runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box and backed by a 2000mah battery which is rated to deliver 6.5 hours of talktime and 140 hours of talktime on 4G network.
For connectivity, it supports dual SIM, 4G LTE with VoLTE, bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, GPS, Micro USB 2.0, 3G HSPA+, USB OTG. The LYF Wind 5 measures 144.6×72.8×8.4mm and weighs 137 grams.
