After launching range of affordable Smartphones LYF has now expanded the mid-range premium category with LYF Earth 2, the successor to Earth 1 which was launched earlier this year at Rs. 23,999. The Earth 2 is priced at Rs. 19,999 and comes in Midnight black, green, gold and white colors. The highlight of the device is retina technology which can unlock the device by just blink of an eye.
The Smartphone also has a fingerprint sensor placed below the display and it can be used to access various apps by assigning different fingerprints. The LYF Earth 2 sports aluminium alloy frame and flaunts 5 inch HD IPS display with 2.5D glass on top, 72% screen to body ratio and pixel density of 445ppi.
It is powered by a 1.5GHz Octa Core Snapdragon 615 MSM8939 processor clubbed with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory which can be further increased up to 64GB with the help of Micro SD card. On the operating system front, it runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box.
Coming to the cameras, it bears a 13 megapixel camera at both rear and front assisted by LED flash and laser autofocus. The camera also supports features like Smile capture, touch focus, Panorama, manual HDR, touch up mode, panorama, gesture capture etc. It is backed by a 2500mah battery claims to deliver 14 hours of talktime and 480 hours of standby time.
Connectivity options on board are 4G LTE with VOLTE support, hybrid dual Sim, bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Micro USB, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 3.5mm jack and Micro USB. It also packs with some noteworthy features such as double tap to wake up, auto call, flip to mute, activate camera, air gesture, black screen gesture, shake it, pocket mode, activate mirror etc.
