In May 2016, Lenovo introduced its sub brand ZUK in India with launch of ZUK Z1 at Rs. 13499. Now the brand has rolled out Z2 Plus the renamed version of ZUK Z2 which was launched in China earlier this year. The new device comes in two variants- one is 3GB RAM with 32GB internal memory priced at Rs. 17,999 while the 4G RAM, 64GB internal memory version is available for Rs. 19,999. Unfortunately, neither of the variant supports expandable storage.
Lenovo Z2 Plus, the successor to last year’s ZUK Z1 comes with a 5 inch full HD LTPS 2.5D curved glass display with pixel density of 441 ppi and screen resolution of 1920*1080 pixels. The Flagship device sports a fibre glass frame and metal back panel coated with layer of glass. It utilizes a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 2.15 GHz accompanied by Adreno 530 GPU.
The Smartphone packs a 13 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5P lens, f/2.2 aperture, phase detection auto focus (PDAF), CAF dual mode focus, electronic image stabilization, slo-mo, time lapse video and 4K video recording capability. The Selfies can be taken by an 8 Megapixel front camera that gets f/2.2 aperture, 78.9 degree wide angle lens and f/1.9 aperture.
The Z2 Plus runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 out of the box which is wrapped under brand’s ZUI 2.0 on top. The Smartphone is equipped with a U touch 2.0 Fingerprint sensor integrated on the home button and it is claimed to deliver up to 99.7 percent of accuracy and can be operated with sweaty hands.
As far as connectivity is concerned, the device is bundled with dual Sim, 4G VoLTE, bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB 2.0 Type-C, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac. It comes with U-health app which keeps a track of your fitness activities including steps, running, distance etc. It is backed by a 3500mah battery which supports Qualcomm quick charge 3.0 technology. At tape, it measures 141.65 x 68.88 x 8.45 mm and weighs 149 grams.
