Lenovo has expanded its K-series Smartphone Portfolio in India with the launch of K8 Plus. At a price tag of Rs. 10,999, the Smartphone will be available from Flipkart starting 7th September 2017 at 12:00 PM. The colour options on offer are Fine Gold and Venom Black. The company will also launch a 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM variant around Diwali. The highlight of the device is a dual rear camera, 4000mah battery and Dolby Atmos support for better speaker and headphone.
As expected, it comes with several launch offers such as 30GB additional data for Jio users, buyback guarantee up to Rs. 5000, up to 10,000 off on exchange of old phones, 5W Bluetooth speakers worth Rs. 1899 for Rs. 1199.
K8 Plus flaunts metal unibody with aluminium 500 series and 5.2 inches full HD display with 1920*1080 pixels of resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and oleophobic coating. Under the hood is an Octa Core MediaTek Helio P25 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz and accompanied by 3GB/4GB RAM and Mali-T880 GPU. It comes with 32GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 128GB using a Micro SD card.
The Dual SIM device runs on Android 7.1.1 out of the box and it is upgradable to Android 8.0 (Oreo). Coming to the optics, it comes with a 13MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash, 5P lens and f/2.0 aperture, the secondary camera includes a 5MP unit. Up front is an 8MP front-facing camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and 84-degree wide-angle lens. The Smartphone also comes with a fingerprint sensor and Dolby Atmos for an immersive sound experience
For connectivity, it sports 4G VoLTE, dual SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), GPS, Bluetooth 4.2 and USB OTG. The Smartphone is fuelled by a 4000mAh battery, which claims to last up to 2 days on regular usage. The device measures 147.9 x 73.7 x 8.99mm and weighs165 grams.
