Lava Mobiles have expanded its X series line up by rolling out two new devices- X17 and X50, priced at Rs. 6899 and 8699 respectively. Lava X17 is available in champagne gold, white gold, black steel and black gold colors while X50 comes only in blue color variant.
Lava X17
Lava X17 has a 5 inch HD display with 1280*720 pixels of screen resolution and pixel density of 294ppi. It utilizes a 1.3 GHz quad core Mediatek processor paired with 1GB of RAM and has 8GB internal memory which can be further expandable up to 32GB using a Micro SD card. It packs with 8MP primary rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front facing camera that has dual tone LED flash and wide degree angle lens. The rear camera comes with digital zoom, panorama, GIF, face beauty and audio picture features.
On the software front, it runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 out of the box and draws its power from a 2350mah battery. Apart from VoLTE support other standard connectivity options include dual SIM with dual standby, bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Micro USB 2.0, FM radio and 3.5 mm audio jack.
Other features include accelerometer sensors, smart gestures, 12 Indian languages support, time lapse and slow motion video.
Lava X50:
The second of the lot is Lava X50 that features a 5.5 inch HD ISP display with pixel density of 267ppi and it utilizes a 1.3 GHz Quad core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It packs with 8GB on internal storage which can be further increased via Micro SD card up to 32GB. It comes with same camera units of X17 i.e. an 8MP rear and 5MP front with both having LED flash support.
Further it offers 4G with VoLTE, dual SIM (4G+4G), GPS/A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Micro USB, FM radio, 3.5mm audio jack. It runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 but it is expected to get Marshmallow update soon.
Some of noteworthy features on Lava X50 are flip to mute, Smart gestures, auto call recording, 5 point touch, 12 Indian languages support and ambient light, proximity and accelerometer sensors. A 2800mah battery with power saver mode completes the package.
