To cash in the increasing popularity of big screen devices among the customers, Lava has rolled an affordable device called A79 wearing huge display. The device is listed on company’s website at an asking price of Rs. 5699 and will be available via retail outlets across India and comes in Grey and Gold colors.
The Smartphone has a big 5.5 inch FWVGA screen with pixel density of 196ppi, smart screenshot feature and Video PIP mode. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad core processor clubbed with 1 gigs of RAM and sports 8GB of storage which can be further increased by up to 32GB with the help of a Micro SD card.
On the photography front, it comes with a 5MP rear and 2MP front cameras with both having LED flash to ensure better low light images. For connectivity, it misses out on LTE support but do get standard connectivity options such as 3G, Micro USB 2.0, dual Sim, bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 3.5mm audio jack and GPS.
The A79 measures 155×78.6×9.2mm and weighs 134 grams and fuelled by a 2200mah battery which is claimed to deliver a stand by time of 190 hours.
