Xiaomi’s Redmi brand just launched the Redmi Note 9 smartphone in India. It has an Aura Balance design with a 3D curved back, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Redmi claims 21% performance improvements over Redmi Note 8 powered by Snapdragon 665. Check out the specifications of the phone below:
Redmi Note 9 specifications:
The smartphone features a 6.53-inch Full HD+ display with 450nit(typ) brightness, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and is powered by Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G85 12nm processor with up to 1000MHz ARM Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU. It runs on Android 10 with MIUI 11 and offers Dual SIM (nano + nano + microSD). On the connectivity front, it offers Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. It packs a 5020mAh battery with a 22.5W fast charger in the box and supports 9W reverse charging. The device is Splash resistant (P2i coating) and has a fingerprint sensor as well.
Storage:
The smartphone is available in different storage variants 4GB LPDDR4 RAM with 64GB internal memory and, 4GB and 6GB LPDDR4 RAM with 128GB internal storage which is expandable up to 512GB with microSD.
Camera:
The device has a quad rear camera setup that houses a 48-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 primary sensor, along with an f/1.79 lens. The camera setup also includes an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens. For selfies, there is a 13-megapixel camera sensor at the front.

The Redmi Note 9 is available in Pebble Grey, Arctic White, and Aqua Green colors and is priced at INR. 11,999 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version, 4GB RAM with 128GB storage version costs INR. 13,499 and the top-end 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version cost INR. 14,999.
