This year Oppo has launched many smartphones and the company has launched yet another device called the Oppo A79 in the Chinese market. Bezel-less seems to be the new rage and Oppo plans on using it to its advantage by unveiling budgeted phones with Bezel-less displays.
The Smartphone is identical to the Oppo R11s in terms of looks and display. The main feature of the Oppo A 79 is the end to end display. The phone is coupled with 4GB RAM to deliver multitasking.
Oppo A79 specifications:
Oppo A79 has a 6 inch OLED display with 2180×1080 pixel resolutions and aspect ratio of 18:9. For the taller display, the top and bottom bezels have been reduced. Oppo A79 is powered by 2.5Ghz MediaTek Helio P23 Octa-core processor and runs on ColorOS 3.2 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
On the camera front the phone is equipped with a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and LED flash and 16-megapixel front cameras with f/2.0 aperture, the phone doesn’t have dual cameras but its higher aperture ensures good picture quality. Connectivity wise, the phone supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, USB-Type C, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, GLONASS and dual-SIM. The device houses a powerful 3000mAh non-removable battery which comes with Oppo’s proprietary VOOC fast charging option.
Oppo A79 has a unibody design with a fingerprint sensor at the back. The device also has a facial recognition feature.

Oppo A79 is available only in 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
Oppo A79 price and availability:
The phone is listed on company’s Chinese website priced at CNY 2,399 (Approximately RS 23,500) and will go on sale on 1st December in China. It is available in black and gold colors. There are no words of its launch in other markets (India) as Oppo F5 is already popular in the market.
