HTC has confirmed to unveil its new U series phone on November 2nd at an event. A new teaser of the phone has been posted. The teaser hints that the phone might have a wireless charging support and a fingerprint sensor below the camera. The HTC U11 is expected to have Edge Sense squeeze interaction, HTC Boom Sound and is even expected to be water resistant with IP68 ratings. The smartphone is said to launch in Black, White and Blue color options. The company is also predicted to introduce mid-range U11 Life along with Android One version. The price of the new HTC smartphone is not revealed and would be declared on its final announcement.
The HTC U11 Plus specifications include a 6-inch (1440×2880 pixels) Quad HD+ display screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection facility. For processor it is powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform with Adreno 540 GPU. The HTC U11 Plus sports 6 GB RAM with 128 GB storage and 4 GB RAM with 64 GB storage capacity. This is further expandable up to 2 TB with micro SD card.
The optics of the HTC smartphone has a 12MP primary camera with dual LED flash, f/1.7 aperture, and 4K video recording facility. While for the front camera it has an 8MP front-facing shooter for selfies. The HTC U11 Plus has Android 8.0 (Oreo) as its operating system. It also comes with a water resistant body and a fingerprint sensor.
For connectivity the phone has 4G VoLTE, WI-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4 and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, NFC, hotspot and USB Type-C. The smartphone comes backed with a 3930mAh (minimum) battery and 4000mAh (typical) battery along with quick charge 3.0 facility. The dimension of the phone is said to be 154 x 76 x 9.2 mm while its weight to be 170g.
