Xiaomi is all set to launch Redmi S2 in the Indian market. According to reports by XDA developers, this phone is said to be an entry-level device with a dual camera setup and face unlock feature. The reports suggest that the phone will be launched in China and India soon. Here are the expected specifications it is said to come with:
Specifications
The Redmi S2 is to pack an LCD panel with HD (1440×720) resolution that has 18:9 aspect ratio. The new handset is expected to come powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. For the connectivity options, there is not much information is available.
Camera
For the optics department, the Redmi S2 will pack 12 MP Sony IMX486 or the 12 MP Omni Vision OV12A10 as its primary camera and a 5 MP Samsung S5K5E8 on the front for selfies. Its camera will come possessed with EIS, Face unlock and Portrait mode.
Storage
The phone carries either 2 GB or 3 GB RAM with 18 GB internal storage. The smartphone will also get a micro SD card slot to help in expanding the storage.
Battery
The Redmi device will be backed by a 3080 battery.

Considering that the company has already launched many of its smartphone line-up in the Indian market, it is expected to come soon with the Redmi S2 in India.
