Apple at an event in Chicago has introduced a newly refreshed iPad with Apple Pencil support. It is powered by the A10 Fusion chip that is also used in the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. The new Apple iPad comes with many features like Touch ID, an HD FaceTime camera, 10 hours of battery life etc. Read on to know other specifications.
Specifications
The new Apple iPad 2018 gets 9.7-inch fully laminated Retina Display with 264 ppi, Fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating, and Supports Apple Pencil. For the processor front, it is powered by A10 Fusion chip with M10 motion coprocessor. The iPad runs on iOS 11 OS and has a Touch ID fingerprint sensor. The connectivity options of the phone get 4G LTE, Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n/ac), dual channel (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and HT80 with MIMO, and Bluetooth 4.2. Its dimensions measure 240x 169.5x 7.5mm while it weighs 469g (Wi-Fi) / 478g (Wi-Fi + Cellular).
Camera
In the optics section, it has an 8 MP 1080p camera with f/2.4 aperture while for the front it gets a 1.2MP HD front-facing FaceTime HD camera with f/2.2 aperture.
Battery
On the battery front, it is backed by a 32.4-watt-hour rechargeable lithium-polymer battery that gives up to 10 hours of surfing the web with a single charge.

The iPad comes in 32/128GB variants.

It comes in Silver, Gold and Space Gray color options.
Price
The new iPad 9.7 will launch in India through Apple Authorized Resellers in April starting at 28000 INR for the 32GB variant and 38600 INR for the 32GB Wi-Fi + Cellular model. The Apple Pencil will be available for purchase separately for 7600 INR.
