HMD global is going to launch back Nokia phones in the market. Rumours say that a new updated version of the Nokia 6 will launch in 2018. The company, keeping in mind with the buyer’s inclination towards big display as of 2017 launched smartphones, could come with an 18:9 ratio display. A model named TA-1054 which is said to be of the Nokia 6 (2018) recently passed the TENAA certification in China. This certification is essential to launch phones there.
Expected Specifications:
As per the leaks reported by GSMArena, the approved smartphone is to be launched soon. Coming to its specifications, it may carry a 5.5-inch full HD resolution display with 18:9 aspect ratios. For the processor, it could be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor. Storage could be a whooping 4GB RAM and there is a possibility of the phone to have a dual-primary camera.
The new smartphone might have a fingerprint sensor along with a dual SIM. The Nokia 6 which was launched earlier carried a price tag of 14,999 INR in India but there is still no information of what the updated model would have as its price has not been revealed. The updated model is also expected to support Bothie, same as that of Nokia 8 and Nokia 7 and a software-rendered Android navigation button too. This Bothie specification allows the user to record video and stream content from both its primary and front camera.
As there is a range of smartphones under INR 15000 segments offering 18:9 displays, looking forward to what the price tag this updated model of Nokia 6 would carry is interesting. Chances are there that it would launch in China first and then later is the global market. It is expected to be announced in January or February 2018.
