Asus has launched its new Smartphone ‘Zenfone Max’ in the Zenfone series; it was first announced at the Zen Festival alongside Zenfone 2 range of devices including Deluxe, laser etc. The device is now up for pre-order via Amazon India and Flipkart and will be available from 15th January 2016 at a price of Rs. 9999. The highlighting point is off course its huge battery of 5000mah which can deliver up to 37.6 hours of talktime and 914 hours of standby time.
Asus Zenfone Max bears a 5.5 inch HD IPS display with 1280×720 pixels resolution, 72 percent screen body ratio and a Corning Gorilla glass 4 layer for protection. Under the hood is a dated 1GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 410 processor with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM.
It houses 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 64GB using a Micro SD Card slot. It sports a 13MP laser auto focus rear camera with dual color real tone flash, f/2.0 aperture. It is also available with a 5MP front snapper featuring 85 degree wide angle lens, Asus pixel enhancing technology for 400 percent brighter photos.
The handset is on the heavier side as it weighs 202 grams with the dimensions of 77.5x156x10.55 mm. It comes with Dual SIM with dual standby support flanked by 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, GPS, GLONASS, bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG as other connectivity options. It runs on Android Lollipop 5.0 with company’s Zen UI 2.0 on top of it which offers various customization options. The real competition comes from Gionee M4, M5 and Lenovo Vibe P1 which are approximately priced 5K more than Zenfone max.
