Xiaomi is all set to make another price cut announcement in India tomorrow, i.e. on 7th July 2015. Xiaomi has taken the social media platform to convey the announcement; there is cryptic teaser which displays some numbers and asks the users to “get ready to change your phone” “7th July, 10am on mi.com/in.
With the teaser, one can two things, A- Xiaomi could either make a Rs. 1000 price cut on the Redmi 2 or it could launch a new affordable Smartphone Redmi 2A at Rs. 5999. Whatever the case, the price remains at Rs.5999 and will bring the good news to Smartphone lovers.
Xiaomi Redmi 2 flaunts a 4.7 inch display with 720×1280 of pixel resolution and corning Gorilla glass 2 protection. It is powered by a 64-bit, 1.2 GHz Qualcomm snapdragon 410 MSM8916 processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory. The Smartphone comes with memory expandable slot with which you can expand memory up to 32 GB via micro SD card.
It runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat with MIUI 6.0 on top. Other features on Redmi 2 includes 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front snapper, dual SIM slot with dual stand by, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, USB OTG, GPS/A-GPS, Glonass, FM radio and a 2200mah battery to complete the package.
On the other hand, Redmi 2A features a 4.7 inch HD display and powered by a bigger processor of 1.5GHz lead core L1860C processor with Mali T628MP2 GPU, coupled with 1GB RAM. All the other features remain same as Redmi 2 like 8MP and 2MP cameras, 2200mah battery and 8GB of in built storage.
Recently, Xiaomi has slashed the price of Mi 4 which is now available for Rs. 14,999 for the 16GB model and 19,999 for the 64GB variant. It also cut down the price of Redmi note 4G which is now available at Rs. 7999.
