Xiaomi recently posted a teaser confirming the launch of its three new smartphones in the Redmi 6 series: Redmi 6, Redmi 6A and the Redmi 6 Pro. The company also confirmed that it will launch Redmi 6 Pro instead of Mi A2 Lite in India. The launch event is set to happen on 5th September. Xiaomi Redmi 6 and 6A specifications:
Both of them sport a 5.45-inch HD+ 18:9 2.5D curved glass display. Redmi 6 is powered by 2 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 12nm processor with 650MHz IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU, whereas Redmi 6A is powered by 2GHz quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 12nm processor with IMG PowerVR GE-class GPU.
Both the devices run on Android 8.1 (oreo) with MIUI 9 and they offer Dual SIM (nano+ nano / microSD). Redmi 6 has a fingerprint sensor whereas Redmi 6A doesn’t have one. The two smartphones offer the same connectivity options including Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and GLONASS. Also, they have the same batteries 3000 mAh (typical) / 2900 mAh (minimum) battery.
Storage:
Redmi 6 offers two storage variant one with 3 GB RAM with 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM with 64 GB storage with expandable memory up to 256GB with MicroSD card. On the other hand, Redmi 6A offer a single variant with 2GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256 GB with a microSD card.
Camera:
Redmi 6 A is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture and 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. And Redmi 6 sports a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1.25 um pixel size, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture and secondary 5-megapixel camera with 5-megapixel front facing camera with f/2.2 aperture.
Price:
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 was introduced at INR 8265 approx and Redmi 6A at INR 6200 approx.The final details will be out after its official launch next Wednesday.
