Xiaomi has announced its most awaited Mi MIX 2 on 10th October at an event in Delhi. It is the company’s second generation phone and comes with a price tag of Rs. 35999. The Mi MIX 2 comes with a custom earpiece on the front along with a hidden sensor. The smartphone also has a 50 mw high power speaker that carries a sound guided tube for better sound hearing capacity. The four side curved ceramic body smartphone comes in black color and has an aluminium alloy frame. Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 will be available exclusively from Flipkart and mi.com from October 17th onwards and will also be available offline from retail stores across India from the first week of November. The company has announced to offer 0% EMI exclusively on mi.com and Flipkart as well.
The Mi MIX 2 has a 5.99-inch 18:9 Full screen display with ultra narrow bezels. The smartphone is powered by 2.45GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 processor, 64-bit 10nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 540 GPU that improves graphics performance. The Mi MIX 2 sports 6 GB RAM plus 128 GB of built in storage.
For optics the Mi MIX 2 has a 12MP primary camera with Sony IMX386 sensor, 1.25μm pixel size, f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, 4 Axis Optical Image Stabilization and, 4K video recording. The phone proves to be the best choice for moving photography and videos. For the front it has 5MP front-facing camera with facial recognition, and 1080p video recording. The dual SIM phone (nano + nano) runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) with MIUI 9.
Talking of its connectivity options it offers 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/GLONASS, and USB Type-C. The smartphone also includes multi function NFC which is useful in situations such as mobile payments, file transfer etc. The Mi MIX 2 backs a 3400 mAh(typical)/3300 mAh(minimum) battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. The dimension of the phone measures 151.8x 75.5 ×7.7 mm while it weighs 185g.
