OnePlus unveiled OnePlus 3T, the upgraded version of OnePlus 3 earlier this month. The company’s GM Vikas Agarwal now confirmed that the company will soon launch OnePlus 3T in India soon. GM volunteered Truth or dare on the brand’s official Facebook page and said he will reveal launch date after end of this round. He took the bungee jumping challenge and after completion he revealed the beast will be launched in India on December 2nd, 2016.
The brand earlier confirmed that it will continue to sell OnePlus 3 in India which means both the devices will be offered simultaneously. In comparison to One plus 3, the newer version will have a better processor, slightly larger battery and better Selfie camera. It will be available in two versions- 64GB storage priced at $439 (approx. 30,000 INR) and 128GB variant cost at $479 (approx 32,500 INR).
Coming to the specs, OnePlus 3T will sports a 5.5 inch Full HD Optic AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass and corning gorilla glass 4 protection. At its heart will be a quad core Snapdragon 821 64-bit processor clocked at 2.35 GHz aided by meaty 6GB RAM and Adreno 530 GPU. Apart from Soft gold, 3T will be available in Gun metal color.
In the camera segment, OnePlus 3T is superior in terms of resolution and sports 16 Megapixel front (Samsung 3P8SP sensor) and rear (Sony IMX 398 sensor) cameras. The primary rear camera supports LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, optical image stabilization (OIS), phase detection auto focus (PDAF), 1.12 micron pixel. The camera record 4K video @30fps and 720p slow mo video@120fps. The Selfie camera has 1.0 micron pixel size, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording support.
OnePlus 3T runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 wrapped under Oxygen OS, however it is expected to get nougat 7.0 update soon. It boasts a fingerprint sensor integrated at home button which unlocks the device swiftly. On the connectivity front it is similar to OnePlus 3 which means you get 4G LTE with VoLTE, bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac dual band (MIMO), USB type-C, GPS+GLONASS, bluetooth 4.2 and NFC.
