HTC today has launched seven new Smartphones at an event in New Delhi- HTC 10, 10 lifestyle edition, One X9, Desire 628 Dual SIM, Desire 630, Desire 825 and Desire 830. Among all, HTC 10 device grabs maximum attention as it is touted as world’s first device to feature OIS at both front and rear cameras. As compared to M8 and M9, the 10 sports a new metal unibody design different from rest of the HTC Smartphones.
The HTC 10 flaunts 5.2 inch Quad HD super LCD 5 display with 2550*1440 pixels of screen resolution, pixel density of 564ppi and 2.5 D corning gorilla glass protection. The device utilizes Quad core Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor clocked at 2.2 GHz and assisted by Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB of RAM.
The device boasts 32GB of internal memory which can further be expanded by up to 2TB using a Micro SD card. For the photography, it sports a 12 ultra pixel 2 rear camera with dual tone LED flash, optical image stabilization, f/1.8 aperture and laser autofocus. The rear snapper is also capable of hyper lapse, 4K video recording, video Pic, Zoe capture and slow-mo recording. For Selfie lovers, it has a 5 megapixel camera that boast OIS, auto HDR, wide angle lens and love make up feature.
It runs on Android Marshmallow6.0 with HTC latest sense 8.0 UI on top and it will get Android N update later this year. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, bluetooth 4.2, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11ac/a/b/g/n, USB type-C, GPS with GLONASS, USB type-C port, DLNA; Mira cast airplay and display port. The Smartphone takes its power from a 3000mah battery which has Qualcomm quick charge 3.0 support permitting it to charge up 50 percent in just 30 minutes.
Other noteworthy features include a fingerprint sensor located at home button capable of unlocking the device in 0.2 seconds. HTC also comes with three noise cancellation microphones, Dolby audio, HTC Boomsound and first in the world stereo 24 bit Hi-res audio recording feature.
HTC also revealed the lifestyle variant of 10 which sports similar specs except for the Snapdragon 652 and 3GB of RAM. The price of Lifestyle variant hasn’t been disclosed yet. The HTC 10 and 10 Lifestyle will be available from 5th June 2016 in two color options Topaz Gold and carbon grey. Also, the first 500 customers will get a free Ice view cover.
