After revealing Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge at MWC last month, Samsung has officially launched the flagships in India. Available in Black Onyx, Silver and Gold Titanium colors, the pre-orders for both has already begun and will go on till 17th March before going for sale from 18th March 2016. And those who pre-book the phone will get Samsung gear VR for free.
Both the phones IP-68 dust and water resistance and they can dunk for 30 minutes up to 1.5 metres of water. The Smartphones run on Android Marshmallow 6.0 out of the box and packs with heart rate monitors at rear and Fingerprint sensor at the home button.
Samsung Galaxy S7:
The Samsung Galaxy S7 is priced at Rs. 48,900 for the 32GB variant while price of 64GB has not been disclosed yet. In terms of specs, Samsung Galaxy S7 flaunts a 5.1 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 577ppi and 2560*1440 of pixels resolution. Samsung has launched with Octa Core Exynos 8890Soc while the global variant get Qualcomm Snapdragon 820.
The Processor is backed by massive 4GB of RAM and comes with 32GB and 64GB with an expandable storage option up to 200GB using a Micro SD card. The camera Segment include a 12 Megapixel rear snapper with dual tone LED flash, optical image stabilization, PDAF, 1.4um pixels and f/1.7 aperture. For Selfies and video calling, it bears 5 Megapixel front facing camera with f/1.7 aperture.
A3000mah battery with fast charging support keeps the phone running, connectivity options on the device include Hybrid dual Sim Slots, 4G LTE, bluetooth 4.2 LE, USB2.0, NFC, dual band Wi-Fi, GPS with GLONASS, Wi-Fi 802.11ac,
Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge:
The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is available only in 32GB variant which is priced at Rs. 56,900. All the specifications are pretty much similar to S7 except for the bigger and curvy screen and better battery. It sports a 5.5 inch Quad HD Curved edge display with 2560×1440 pixels resolution and 534ppi of pixel density. Connectivity, Camera, operating system, RAM, processor are same as Galaxy S7. However, it is powered by a 3600mah battery that supports wire and wireless battery.
