Xolo, the home grown Smartphone manufacturer has introduced a successor to its 8X-1000 christened as 8X-1000i. The new device is priced at Rs. 6999 on Snapdeal while Amazon India is offering the same for Rs. 7499. However, company hasn’t officially revealed any details regarding its availability or price etc.
Quite similar to Xolo 8X-1000 Smartphone which was launched in August this year, the new 8X-1000i also runs on company’s own Hive UI which is based on Android 4.4 Kitkat. In terms of specs, it comes with almost similar set specifications to its predecessor. The 8X-1000i sports a 5 inch HD display with 294ppi of pixel density and Corning Gorilla glass 3 for protection.
The Smartphone is fuelled by an Octa-core Mediatek MT6592M processor clocked at 1.4GHz flanked by Mali 450 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The Smartphone comes equipped with 16GB of internal memory which can be further increased up to 32GB using a Micro SD card.
Imaging wise, Xolo 8X-1000i bears an 8MP autofocus rear camera with Exmor sensor and LED flash and a 2MP front snapper completes the camera package. The primary camera comes with range of features such as HDR, face recognition, horizontal and vertical Panorama, gesture detection, voice capture, scene detection, geo tagging, face beautification, low light enhancement and smile detection.
The handset is backed by a 1920mAh battery, which can deliver up to 11 hours of talk time and up to 352 hours of standby time on 2G networks. As far as connectivity goes, it includes 3G HSPA+, Micro USB, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS and GPRS/EDGE. It also packs in some sensors like ambient light, proximity, Hall Effect and accelerometer.
