Motorola India has launched a 4G variant of its popular device Moto G (2nd GEN) with a price tag of Rs. 8999. Motorola now joins the bandwagon of making 4G compatible devices in India. Moto G 2nd GEN was launched in India at an original price of Rs. 12,999 but now after an array of price cuts it is now available at Rs. 9999INR.
In the coming days we can expect another price cut on 3G variants of the device to balance out the things between 3G and 4G. Apart from 4G connectivity, device features similar specs of 3G variants. The handset sports a 5 inch HD display with a corning gorilla glass 3 protection and resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
Powering Moto G 2nd GEN is a 1.2 GHz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor assisted by 1GB RAM and Adreno 305 GPU. It has 16GB of internal storage with Micro SD card slot to further expand the memory up to 32GB.
Camera configurations on the device include a decent 8MP primary rear camera that comes with LED flash and capable of recording 720p HD videos at 30fps. There is also a 2MP front facing camera that offers more than decent quality Selfies.
The dual front speakers provide good sound quality while 3.5mm audio jack takes care of the connectivity for headsets. Besides 4G support, the device offers bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n as other connectivity options. The Battery gets a little bump now to 2390mah from 2070mah on standard 3G variants.
Following the same trend, the 4G variant too will come in white and black color shades and it will be available for pre-order via Flipkart from 15th October 2015.
