Lava has introduced a new Smartphone in its V series line up name as Pixel V2 which is a refreshed version V1 launched in July 2015 as part of Android one series. The Lava V2 is priced at Rs. 10,750 INR which is approximately 600-700 less than its predecessor. The device is said to be available online while its online availability will begin from 15th September 2015. Lava claims that this Smartphone will redefine Smartphone photography.
The Lava Pixel V2 has a 5 inch HD IPS display with Oleo phobic coating and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection that should protect it from minor scratches. The Smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad core Mediatek 64-bit processor assisted with 2GB RAM and Mali T720 GPU.
As for the memory, it includes 16GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB via a Micro SD card. The Dual Sim device runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with Star OS on top of it.
In terms of Camera, Lava Pixel V2 is quite an update over its predecessor as it sports a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, 5P largen lens with blue glass filter, F/2.0 aperture and 1.4 Micron large pixel size. For Selfies, user get an 8 megapixel front snapper with LED flash, 4P largen lens, 84 degree wide angle lens and f/2.4 aperture. With an improved camera you also get number of features like beautify software, Pano Selfie or wide angle selfie, night mode, Pic Focus, Night Pro and Pro V for low light images and videos, face beauty Intelligent Mode etc.
To run the Smartphone is a 2500mah battery which should be good enough for a 5” HD device. For connectivity it features 4G LTE (Cat.4) with Indian LTE bands support, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, FM Radio and 3.5mm audio jack.
