Microsoft has launched its budget Smartphone ‘Lumia 540’ in the country priced at Rs. 10,199 INR which was announced last month. The Smartphone will be available for pre-bookings from 18th May 2015.
Lumia 540, the successor of 535 is the first Microsoft branded Smartphone to sports a 5 inch HD 720p display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and pixel density of 294ppi.
Microsoft Lumia 540 is a Dual Sim Smartphone that comes with a 1.2 GHz Quad core Snapdragon 200 processor and packs with 1GB RAM.
Lumia 540 features an 8 megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a 5 megapixel wide angle Selfie camera.
Lumia 540 has 8GB of on-board storage with a Micro SD card slot up to 128GB and a user will also get 30GB of cloud based storage with Microsoft’s One Drive.
The Lumia 540 runs on Windows 8.1 with Lumia denim update but it will be getting Windows 10 update later this year.
On connectivity options Lumia 540 supports 3G, Dual Sim connectivity, Wi-Fi with hotspot, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and support up to 8 Wi-Fi enabled devices.
The Phone is backed up by a removable 2200mah battery. It comes in wide range of colors- Orange, White, Black and Glossy layered Cyan.
