We earlier told you that Motorola will launch 2nd GEN Moto E in India soon with bigger screen and Android Lollipop 5.0 and now Motorola has reveal that the launch price of 3G variant of 2nd GEN Moto E will be Rs. 6999 INR. It is the same original price that Motorola launched Moto E last year and for those who still doesn’t know that the company recently slashed the price of Moto E to Rs. 5999 which is available on Flipkart.
New Moto E is slightly bigger than 2014 Moto E which now sports a 4.5” QHD display from 4.3” screen but still at (540×960) pixels which is disappointing but it is protected with Gorilla Glass 3 and anti-smudge coating. The New Moto E supports only Single SIM now unlike Dual-SIM in Moto E 2014.
In terms of camera new Moto E has a 5MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture and can record 720p videos and there is a 0.3 VGA camera on the front which will not provide great selfies at all but it better to have VGA camera than no camera.
Non-LTE version i.e. the 3G variant has a quad core 200 chipset and Adreno 302 GPU. Both the versions are coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB via Micro SD Card.
The LTE version of Moto E 2015 has a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Processor and 400 MHz Adreno306 GPU.
It connectivity options includes 4G, LTE, 3G, Micro USB, Bluetooth 4.0LE, NFC, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and it packs with 2390mah battery from 1980mah. New Moto E runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and weighs just 145 grams.
Motorola is rolling out new Moto E/ Moto E (2nd GEN) in 50 countries starting from US, the 3G version will cost around $119.99 approx but for India it is same original price of first GEN Moto E i.e. Rs. 6999 INR. The 4G version will cost $149.99 which is around 9288 INR but it is not clear that whether 4G version will come to India or not as according to Motorola’s blog 4G might not be supported in all regions.
