Amazon India, the e-commerce website that has exclusively sold Micromax Yu Yureka in the country on Wednesday witnessed a malfunction which took place during the online sales of Yu Yureka and created a sales controversy.
During the online sale of Yu Yureka some users were asked to Rs. 12.499 instead of Rs. 8,999 INR which is its original price to complete the purchase successfully it means some had to pay Rs. 3500 INR more than the original price of the Yu Yureka.
Amazon has claimed that they had sold 10,000 units in just 3 seconds while over 3 lakh registrations were made for the Yureka. But later there were reports claiming that only 3000 units were placed for sale and even fewer were sold but Amazon stood by their stand of 10000 units sale. Yu Yureka is a great phone given that with such great features and 5.5 inch HD display it cost only Rs. 8999 INR.
According to some customers when they click on the buy now during the sale, Amazon site went down many times and customers were asked to complete the entire transaction within 15 minutes. During the whole process surprisingly the displayed price was 12,499 but after placing your order Amazon applied 3500 as promotion which brought down the price to Rs. 8999.
Another sale is coming up on 22nd January 2015 though Amazon or Micromax did not reveal numbers of units but we hope this blunder will not repeat in the upcoming sale of Yu Yureka.
