The Chinese Smartphone Giant Xiaomi launched Mi Max 2 in India earlier this year which had 4GB RAM and 64B internal storage, priced at Rs. 16,999. Now, Xiaomi has launched the stripped down version of Max 2 with 32GB storage which comes at an introductory price Rs. 13,999 against its actual price of Rs. 14,999. The 64 GB variant will now be available for 15,999. The new variant will be available to buy on September 20 at 12 noon on Amazon, Mi.com and Mi Home.
Just to remind, Mi Max 2 comes with a 6.44-inch Full HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display with 450nits brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 14nm Mobile Platform with 4GB RAM and Adreno 506 GPU. The internal storage can be further expanded via Micro SD card. It runs on Android 7.1.1 out of the box with MIUI 8 on top and sports a fingerprint on its back panel.
As for the cameras, it bears a 12-megapixel primary rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and 1.25 Micron pixel size. Up front is a 5MP camera for Selfies and video calling. For connectivity, it offers dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4G VoLTE, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 4.2, IR blaster and 3.5mm audio jack.
The phone is powered by a beefy 5300mah battery with quick charge 3.0 support which can offer a charge of 68 percent in just one hour. It claims to offer 57 hours of talk time and 18 hours of video playback. The Smartphone measures 174.1 x 88.7 x 7.6mm and weighs 211 grams.
