The consumer report is out and the final iPhone X testing results have got a thumbs up from Apple lovers but it is ranked below iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus. These ranking are made on the basis of durability and battery life.
iPhone X has taken a spot in Consumer Reports list of top 10 smartphones. It has grabbed the ninth position on the list but it failed to beat iPhone8 and iPhone 8Plus. As per the record, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus have passed the tumbler test, where the phone was checked for damage after 50 drops and again after 100.
A tumbler is a rotating chamber that continuously drops a phone from the height of about 2.5 feet to test the damages. The report tells that, “We conducted three tumbled samples of iPhone X. The first was fine, but after 100 drops the back glass of the phone was cracked. The other two phones ended up with malfunctioning displays after 50 drops. The good point is the front glass didn’t crack.
Among the three iPhone X, one model got serious body damages, while the rest two had display issues. The front display of all, iPhone X, 8 and plus performed astonishingly and iPhone X did well on the scratch and water resistance tests.
Consumer reports mentioned complaints about the phone’s battery life and say it does not last as long as the battery of Samsung Galaxy s8. In the battery test, iPhone X lasted for only 19.5 hours and on the other side iPhone 8 plus lasted for 21 hours and Samsung Galaxy S8 lasted for 26 hours.
Though iPhone X did not pass in battery and durability test, but it beats all the other Smartphones in camera quality. It has the highest camera score among all the phones that are tested by Consumer Reports. Also, they have listed Face ID system and OLED display as the strength of the iPhone X.
However, Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are the top two recommended smartphones, because of the superior battery life and iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 8 are in the third and fourth spot.
