After launching the laser 5.5 last month in India at a price tag of Rs.9999, Asus today has introduced updated version Laser 5.5 (ZE550KL-1B122IN) of it. The new device is priced at Rs. 13,999 and sports better SoC and more RAM. The device is available in Glamour Red, Pure black and ceramic white colors on Flipkart.
The device flaunts a 5.5-inch HD 720p IPS Display, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The handset is powered by a 1.5 GHz Octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) processor with 3GB of RAM as compared its predecessor featuring 1.2GHz SOC and 2GB of RAM.
The Asus Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5 (ZE550KL) features the same set of a 13-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and Laser auto-focus. And Up front is a 5-megapixel f/2.0 Selfie camera with 85 degree wide angle lens. According to Asus, the Laser auto-focus allows one focus on the subject in less than half a second.
The new laser 2 phone comes with a plethora of sensors support like Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor, eCompass, Hall Sensor and Ambient Light Sensor. In terms of connectivity, the dual SIM phone supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, A-GPS and GLONASS. Asus Zenfone 2 Laser weighs 170grams and measures 152.5 x 77.2 x 10.8~3.9 mm. ON Software front, it runs on Android Lollipop 5.0 out of the box with Zen UI 2.0 on top. A 3000mah battery completes the package.
